    You are very welcome. Because my mechanical experience has been mostly motorcycles, I research everything thoroughly. I am doing that now for delete. I am glad I read your ans Andre's tip to install the software and test it first. I will do that and probably take my truck to a trusted mechanic to install the hardware. I am trying to make up my mind about leaving things in place or totally removing them.

    That is true.......I also thing the tonneau cover rail added much support to the bed rail. I had bolted the tonneau cove rail to the bed rail. I did not use the supplied clamps.
