Well I wrote that quite a while ago, maybe 1998, but that being said I can't think of any measurements you would need, Axle should bolt right in in the same place and then it is just a matter of fitting the steering box. As for pics, I never had a digital camera at that time and the truck has long since been traded away. Sorry I am not much help but good luck... I do not recall the swap being that difficult.

Just read your article on the power assist to real power steering on FTE, and first i want to say thank you. Don't know how long ago you wrote that, but i will use that as a guide as i start my conversion. I do have a couple of questions for you. I am about to remove parts from my donor truck, in my case i'm going to replace the front axel at the same time to make the disc brake conversion. Is there any measurements i would need to take from the donor truck before i remove the axel/steering pieces? Also, do you have any pictures of your procedure or of the finished project?
Once again, thank you for your time

Sparky I have been combing the forum for the tech article you wrote on the power steering conversion with no luck in finding it. I looked under tech guides and didn't even see anything that had to do with power steering. All your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
