My uncle is heavy into hunting. My dad was always anti-hunting, so I was never really allowed to get into it despite my interest. Now that I am older I can make the choice to hunt, so I just finished getting my firearms license and doing the various courses required here in Canada to be able to apply to various hunting licenses. I have my bow course and restricted firearms (handgun) courses set up in the coming month.

I've been around guns for quite awhile, just had to make it completely legal so I can get my own. Been practicing a lot with skeet and targets. Very excited. I love being out with nature.

I don't know if you have moose down in Georgia, but up here it's the top hunting prize. That and black bear.

    Anyways sorry for rambling.

    Have a good night,

He is about 6. He is not fixed (I don't know if that makes a difference). Chocolate lab named Hershey (how original). He is very obedient and will obey any command regardless of what might be going on around him.

He is very good in terms of retrieving. I always kind of planned on him being a hunting dog once I got into it. Have him trained to jump out of the boat to retrieve what I throw and bring it back. His nose is also very on point. I'll get my brother to hold him and I will run out and hide in the woods. He will then track me and will often eventually find me, which I know isn't anything exceptional but atleast I know he can catch a scent and follow it. Just fun and games I guess. However, it is like a switch goes off and he goes into a mode when he is searching for something or retrieving. Not his normal tail wagging goofy self. Very serious. (I know that might sound weird)

(to be continued had to break up for length)

Thanks Mark, seems to be a consistent mutual problem. Just finished my hunting courses today... I wonder if it is too late to teach an old dog new tricks. I'll have to pick up a pair of your fancy glasses.

I hope all is well on your end.
