Hey guys. My 52 Flathead engine lives! They built a custom stand -took my radiator and got it running. Nice restoration by Mullens in Panama City FL. Will post pics of progress soon on body. Trans rebuilt also but need to order new clutch. Getting there..

OK -I got the engine out finally. The starter had locked it and that is why the crank pulley would not turn. Starter fell out when we were attempting to hoist the block and engine spins now. It is off to a shop to get boiled out -what a dirty girl she was!
I scraped over 60 lbs of dirt soaked oil to disassemble.
Now attempting to pull the trans. Just as dirty as the engine. The shift linkage has a cotter pin next to the trans. I pulled that out and I am trying to drive out the pin? No luck at all. Also manual said to pull the drive shaft -I think that is not necessary since the engine is out? Any assist would be appreciated. 52 F1 R engine with 4 speed.
