I need some information about c 4 transmissions. which one is the best or better to use with a late 70's 302 engine when being installed in a 1956 f 100?

I thought I saw a list of steps or things to consider when installing a small block ford v 8 in a 1956 ford truck or similar trucks. Could some repost the list. Thanks

My 56 panel still has the original 223 six cylinder with a Clifford two barrel intake, headers, and a webber carb in it. I cant make up mind about whether rebuild the 223, estimated cost for a machine shop is $2500 and get it balanced or to swap it out for a y block with a three speed or a 302 and an automatic. I own a good running Y block with an overdrive transmission and a 302(need a tranny) in the shop now. Your thoughts and opinions on the swaps would be appreciated.

Ill post an up date on things I have done to the truck a little later.
