OK thanks, looks like I still have a little work to do. I am just scared to leave the truck somewhere unplugged and it will not start!!!!

Glow plugs will stay on for up to 2 minutes; independent of the "wait to start light". I don't see weather below 20 *F, but I can wait 15-20 seconds and it will start every time. At 0*F, you are around the point that Ford recommends to plug it in. You might try a 30 second wait at KOEO, turn it off and then try it for 30 seconds again, and then crank. You may have a weak FICM. You could test the FICM voltages, but that does not ALWAYS reveal a bad FICM (but it frequently does).
BTW - I never go past 10k miles on my fuel filters and I always use a fuel additive.
Also - after what just happened to me, I will never say "my batteries are good" without having them checked! I have a load tester and an acid density gauge and they both said my batteries were good (although one looked like it might be geting weak). They were BOTH bad when tested at a dealership (they can put a proper amp load on it for their test). I never had a cranking or starting problem with them, but they were bad.
