I am going with the Isky 262 cam, and will most likely stay with my 1.7 rockers. If you buy ARP screw in studs, 7/16", you'll be able to run bbc rockers. They can be had on ebay for $100. Or buy the Comp Cams rockers, like the oem ones. You can get those studs on Summit Racing for about $35. Google SI valve, that is how I found them.

If I were you I would order a set of the 1.94/1.60 from SI valve. They are made for your engine. Believe me, you will rest a lot easier. I am running the Isky double springs, but am about to remove the head go through it because it just sounds a bit diesely. I switched to the Crane p.rods. I believe they are .060" longer than oem, but still are not long enough. Get the SI valves!! If I was running the 268 Comp cam, I would use 1.6 rockers, from Harland Sharpe, or the high energy stamped ones from Comp, or oem. The 268 will take away from your towing, low end torque, but add to your top end.
