    Hi Tom,

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, replacing the ball joints corrected my steering issue. I've been told this is a common problem on the early model SD trucks. Ford also put out a TSB on it. Kind of unfortuante. Some engineer decided to save a few bucks by putting cheap, non servicable ball joints in these trucks.

    Thanks,
    Brett

    Hello kc7gjs,
Saw a post you made about tight steering, and you indicated you were going to have the ball joints changed. I have the same issue. Did the ball joints fix the tight steering (ie-not returning to straight)?
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Tom
