    The only advantage is extra protection if one of the AD2 filters fails. If the filter is clean now then it would have an extremely long life and you would almost never need to change it. It's not hurting anything being there.

    I don't run the secondary fuel filter on top of the motor. If you remove it then you also have to take out the plastic stand pipe it sits on that's held in with two small torx screws.
