thanks buddy it has a TH350 tranny and ive never owned or driven an older chevy like this and i like it, ive aways wanted to rebuild a 60's mdel chevy but never thought about a 80's model. ive got the brake lines off of the swb im going to put on the 82 cause the fronts will work and its the front left thats broke, also the rear wheel locked up today i think its because the E Brake didnt release right but then i do the tranny gasket im going to run an additive like trans x throught it

thats what we decided to go, the 82 runs DAMN good, it didnt really want to run till i threw on another carb but when i did she started running great now all i have to do is fix the brakes and put the trans gasket in and fill the tranny up with fluid

hey bad i know this is forbidden on a Ford Truck website i need some advice my dad bought a 1984 chevy bonanza thats almost mint for 500 with a blown motor and bad tranny, he was given a 1984 chevy short wheel base with no motor or trans no title but straight body and i was given a 1982 GMC lwb staight body with saddle bag gas tanks that runs but it needs new valve cover gaskets manifold gaskets and a tranny gasket plus some brake line repair but the floor boards are getting bad so should we use the parts from my 82 on the swb and try to get a title or should we use the swb's good floor boards in my 82 and rig up the brake lines?
