any good quality fluid meeting ford specs for Mercon V.
i used Mercon first, but researched and see the V is more advanced.best to stick with the latest and greatest, since it's compatible with our trans.
just about any filter made for trans fluid is good.
im using both of those filters lol.
the Magnefine for my powersteering/hrdyoboost and the Wix for the trans.
just need to make sure to change them regularly cus you don't want to restrict flow.with a trans temp gauge though,it would be pretty obvious.
im swapping 'em out every flush.30k intervals.

good question.for a simple slip in line:
Magnefine Inline Magnetic Filter is a great choice.
or of course you can buy a base and changeable filters too like from summit/jegs etc of course.WiX 51622 for replacements for those types.
if your talking about the internal filter, just be sure to get the correct 4wd or 2wd one and be sure the old O-ring comes out with the old.

Ok thanks, I ended up just tapping the crossover cause I figured it wasn't gonna work with the banks probe.

Hey coal, did you have to use the glowshift pyro probe? Cause I hooked it up to my banks probe and its reading like 900 degrees cold. When I hook it up to the glowshift probe it reads correctly, I assume I'll have to use their probe provided?
