Thanks Cheez! You have any advice on the EGR delete? Texas Motors Ford told me the EGR had carbon build up and was clogged. Should I do the delete and then clean the manifold? How easy is that to accomplish? Do I need to do anything else with the delete? Not really sure where to start but 2200 bucks at the dealership is not something I can afford. Thanks again for you help!

    Cheez,

I don't know if you had a chance to look at the post about my 6.0L yet but I was wondering if you could give me the name of that shop in Oak Cliff that you were talking about.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Hey man, wondering if you might be able to provide insight on proper CMP/CKP testing with 2-channel lab scope. I know the process for testing them with VMM, but I don't have one, unfortunately.

There's a bit of information scattered about in your posts, but sure would like a concise process.

    Thanks,
    John

    Mr. Cheezit,

My name is Scott and I am a FTE from Fort Worth as well. I live on the Westside near Ridgmar mall. I am currently trying to join the Texas Chapter but because I am a newb to this site it is slow going.

I started a thread a couple days ago about my 03 6.0 and the problems it was having. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/12...-no-power.html
I was wondering if you had any suggestions for me? Heartnurse73 suggested you and said you were in my area.

I realize you get a lot of requests for help, but if possible, I would be willing to meet you or discuss further in person, by phone or e-mail. I thank you in advance for your time and look forward to hearing from you.

    Scott

    Hi Sir,

I read your posts in a thread about resurfacing heads on the 6.0. I have an 05 that I'm about to do heads gaskets and studs on. I have 135K and no gasket leaks, but I want to make my truck reliable for towing.

I'm not sure how to find a reputable person around here to check my heads for me. Do you have any suggestions? It looks like you've done a lot of these heads and I trust your judgement. It seems like a lot of places jump to the conclusion that you need to resurface them. Thanks.

I live North of Dallas and just bought a 2006 F350 DRW 4x4 and a CEL was thrown a few days after. I bought it used obviously so there is no warranty. I have done minor work on 7.3 strokes but am a virgin on the 6.0. I would love to have your help and figure out what all I need to do to this truck to make it worth it. Thanks! Email is Danielscottlipe@gmail.com.

    Cheezit Help!!!!

My 01 7.3 198K cranks no start. Ran fine last Fri, would not Sat has not since.

Had a Wicked squirting fuel filter leak 2 weeks ago, new filter same leak, cranked the top down no leaks,Not sure if that is connected?Soaked engine compartment with fuel.

Then last Sat crank no start. . New Batts, new oil filter, unhooked sensors one by one to check, nothing. Little white smoke in engine compartment after a 10 second crank or so. Can hear glow plug relay click. Thought I ran it out of Fuel Friday put in 3 gals and too much kleen boost cetane booster (would that hurt it?) Plenty of fuel in the bowl. Plenty of oil.

HPOP was empty filled it, still no start.

Start light comes on then beeps off perfect. broker than you could imagine and can't aford the tow let alone the repair bill.
Also has for the last year or so run kind of weak/restricted feeling for a 3 to 5 miles, punch it and it clears up link a filter clearing. Any ideas would greatly help.

Oil cooler for sure and possibly some other stuff. Already have EGR bypass and ARP stubs. Just noticed that there is some white smoke when cold and I am losing coolant. I am hoping that I just have a leak and it is not being lost into the engine. Oil cooler went out while pulling a trailer across country so it was driven for quite a while at really high oil temps.
