    I was looking for info on a bad head gasket test, and saw where a fellow on U-Tube tested for HC in the Coolant Bottle opening at the cap with the wand they put in a tailpipe to test HC. I took my truck (new to me 2004 psd 6L) and had the test done the same way. Normal readings out the exhaust is about 20-25. My Coolant Bottle read 49. The reading for U-Tube test was indeed a bad gasket with 1200+. Is this a valid test and I'm assuming mine is good at 49. I am concerned that I would have any reading at all. Should I be? Thanks in advance.

    We can barter if you like. What are your hobbies, etc.? I have golf and fishing gear. I do some woodworking in my garage. I am pretty handy with my hands. I have worked on my cars my whole life. I make a pretty good helper. I am told I am pleasant to be around. I am sorry to hear that your talents have left the diesel game. I am also grateful your on the Forum and helping these guys, just for the joy of being helpful. I am retired of and have a lot of time on my hands. No grandkids. And that is sad.

    I thought you were a young fellow. I am 70. Is there anyone in this area that you would recommend? I enjoy tinkering with the truck; but I might have something come up that I can't handle. I enjoy your posts a great deal. Hope you stay in good health. I feel that there are many fans of yours out there.

    I live in Arlington and I have been looking for you. I understand from your posts, etc. that your are a first rate F250 6L Tech. How can I get you to look at my 2004 F250 6L w 190K miles on it when I need to. Takes for all the help you given me on this Forum.

    04 ,icp on the pass valve cover, ficm 48 .14,icpv goes up to 85, which of coarse indicates leak, did the leak check (ipr just below 500 say around 460-480,) energized ipr closed all air leakage stops from valve covers and from turbo return line,
    This hpop has 300 miles on it since new, new ipr,egr delete ,new oil cooler ...checked orings,,,,.? Oh did do a new stock ficm chip back when I did the delete.. Running moble 1 and revX ...
    Just got a new hpop is the only thing I think can be wrong?

    just finished reading one of your post about o rings ,,
    man ive got this no start it died on the way home issues thought id find something
    easy ... but nooo am i messing anything??? icp is pushing 85 % on start ipr pressure is just under 500 did a leak check all fine when ipr energized closed ,, pulled turbo and hpop to check orings figured i did something wrong but all seems good ..only 300 miles on new pump????

    cheezit, looking for help on a vibration issue and willing to come to Ft worth (i am in dallas) and pay your shop rate, just want an honest diagnosis. Evident to me anyway it is at turbo, though in motor and of course travels to rest of vehicle. Vibrates at idle and seems to remain at higher RPM's, though dampened by load. No DTC/codes nor engine problems otherwise. It started 4k ago and seems to have worsened (or has just driven me nuts altogether) after EGR replace and Turbo work and Injector/FICM later at dealer. Really don't want to go back unless know is related to repairs as was not pleasant experience, though was completely covered under ext warranty, which expired just after work. I leave to CO Friday night and would be great to come out next day or two, however can wait until back as short notice...and with no DTC/codes not worried.
