hey blue can you help me out, i have a f150 4.2 that hydrolocked. build date on truck is may 1998. I don't know the build date of engine(couldnt read sticker on drivers side valve cover) have called 3 dealerships and all have said they go by build date of truck not engine when it comes to looking up gasket part number. they sold me gasket kit F85Z9433BA. TSB 99-20-7 refers to new gasket kit with number F65Z-9433-B. The gaskets that i took off were xf2e-9441-bb and xf2e-9439-bb. My intake manifold has rf-f85e-9k461-aa 0658.

any help would be greatly appreciated

    Blueovelfitter,
Yet me get your option on my issue, i saw you said you done some rebuilds.
    Ok,
    I have a 2005 5.4 triton ford f-150
Just did a plug change, and replaced 2 coils ,sea-foamed it. #1injector changed
I have a tick the happens only on cold starts, comes from very front of passenger side valve area, once the warm up sets the idle tick is gone.
But, when i accelerate i hear a fluttering sound that when i turn the a/c off and accelerate i can't hear it or can barley hear it . It sounds like a flutter, or card in a bike spoke.
What would you say my problem is? It driving me crazy to try and fix it.
It does sound like what i have heard the cam phasers sound like, i here them, their very very light sounding but i don't know enough to say thats not it.
