To be honest, I think my sending unit is broken, the ohms I'm reading are way too high. Its supposed to be 10 - 73 ohms or about for fords. So to be blunt, I haven't gotten the fuel gauge working just yet. I think I may need a new sending unit but I have more stuff that needs to be fixed at the moment so its taken a back stage.
Howm is it going? I had a request I wanted to ask you. I am building a gauge panel simular to your I have all the gauges picked out but I have run into a speed bump. I was wondering if I could pick your brain a little. When you picked your fuel guage what numbers did you get from your sending unit as far as a OHM's reading? and also is your sending unit stock as well? I have been posting in my own thread and I understand now how to test the sending unit but the underside of my truck is very dirt and I cant seem to get the sending unit connector unpluged and dont want to ruin anything. If you dont think you should just give me the reading would it be possible to keep contacting you with some questions I may have down the road. I would greatly appreciate any info or tips you could give me.
