I love the bumpsides. Yeah My truck was a stock 360. My block is bored 60 over. Has a stage 1 melling cam, 66' Fairlane intake, Edlebrock performer series 4 bbl(from autozone or advance), I have dished racing pistons, 390 crank and rods, Headers with 3" glasspacks and turn downs. The truck has to much horsepower. It burns out trying to take off. I would recommend the FE 390. Plus a big block just looks so awesome. I have around $2,000 +/- in everything. I had a lot of used parts. Sorry i havent responded sooner. Good luck. if ya need any help just ask. I buy parts from Rockauto.com , Autozone, Advance auto, LMC trucks, Mac Auto parts. I am putting a torsen rear end in this winter to have 2 tires going forward...lol. Good Luck post pictures a long the way.
hey greenmachinejohn,
i was reading on a thread that you had posted on and seen that you had a 68 ford listed with a few mods. I also have a 68 truck that i plan on doing something simiilar that you have done. I was wondering how that 390 was with the cam. Mine has a 390 in it as well but i was thinking more along the lines of jucing up a 302 a bit for mine. What do think?
