Cartmanea-I am new to the sight but have enjoyed reading your responses to the maginitude of questions being thrown at you. If you don't mind I would like to ask one myself. I have a 2003 Ford F250 Superduty 7.3 with a 3"-4" lift. I ordered Motometal 955's today 20x10 -12 offset with Mickey Thompson 35x12.50 20's. Will the -12 with the 5" backspacing look ok or should I switch to a -25 with a 4.5" backspace? I don't mind the tires sticking out a little bit (1" or so) but don't want to have to worry about tire rubbing on leaf springs. I'm not sure Motometal offers a -25 for the 955 wheels. I really like to look of your 03. Thats about perfect in my opinion. thanks in advance for helping me out-Mark
6hrs. crap... you sticking with the ghost white, that tube front bumper? i never thought that bumper realy fit your truck, looked like it was missing something. anyway good luck, hope you get er all togeather soon
Hi Cartmanea, I know you are very knowledgeable about these trucks and also that you have a similar truck to mine being a supercab.
I am getting ready to order Icon's 4 inch lift with the front 4" springs but with the rear blocks for now. Only thing is that i have always understood that the trucks with single driveshafts require using a tapered block instead of the flat rear block which is what Icon includes in their kit.
I'm thinking I may just order the front springs & box kit for the lift, then order some tapered blocks seperately, possibly from Ready Lift.
Just wondering how you did yours and what you think.
thanks a lot for your time and help! Scott
Hi Cartmanea,
New to the site but have been lurking for a while. I have seen you post a bit about wheel/tire questions and you seemed very knowledgable so I figured I would shoot you a line.
I have an '01 F350 w/ 4" lift, currently running 315/75D R16's on factory wheels. I am getting new tires 295/70E R18. My question is on the wheel offset. with this tire being narrower than the last but the wheel being wider (9"), will I need a -12 offset or something else? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
