    Take your time and you will do fine. I took a lot of breaks and bought tools as I needed them. The right angle drill really came in handy. Some bolts are going to snap and that can't be prevented. But a reverse twist bit on the drill will walk them out anyway. Good Luck!

    Just read your 6.8 manifold stud removal/replacement thread, good job. I'm going to be taking on the same task. I hope it goes well, I'm a bit concerned about snaping off at the head. It's a 2002 and the engine only has 35,000 miles, I can see the two rear top bolts are gone from both sides. I'll be hitting it with PB Blaster before and during the process. Wish me luck.

    thanks for your advise !! THAT is NOT how my boots areon.....I did buy new coils w boots a week ago I will buy and gap correctly a new set of OE plugs and do the new boots right ! I am enthused to try this ....as this is a rebuilt motor that has been devilin me all summer thank you Mike in Omaha
