Weekend at ParagonUpdated: 05-23-2013
Aug. 3rd and 4th-we had a blast!! Only two other full-size came to play on Sun., both broke, a brand new F-150 crew and an 80's Bronc. The F-150 lost a tire and front driveshaft, Bronc lost a u-joint that took out the driver's side axle shaft after a hammer down blast up a dust hill with a rock just about at the top-he had replacements! Daughter wouldn't let him have the keys after that, she drove it from that point on. Everybody on the ride helped both these guys big time, I think that says a lot about the type of folks that go there. Didn't get a group pic of us before the F-150 limped out with some help. These pics don't really do any kind of justice to the toughness of some of these trails-best we could do-navigator was hesitant to break my consentration and ask me to stop to get pics, glad she didn't, but wish she would have...I wanna see my truck with one rear tire hangin' off the ground by a foot or better! We'll be back again, if you want a challange for you truck, it's worth it. Do note, things that broke or need attention: Box is now into the back of the cab, guess I really need to to get the mounts taken care of. I lost my taillights over one really bad section at nite, have brake/turn signal but think something got pinched by the box. Exhaust hanger broken, need to lower the exhaust a tad, the step hit it on a twisty section. Rear fender took a hit from the tire hard enough to crack and break the flair, I guess I'll be trimming a little more from the front of the rear wheelwells. This place will show you anything that needs attention with your truck! I'm sure I'll find a few other little things also!
