1955 F-600Updated: 05-05-2013
Multiple Views of the F-600. This truck was originally sold to the US Army in 1955 and subsequently sold to the State Of Wa to the Dept of Fisheries. A farmer bought it in the 70's and it was a farm truck until bought by the guy I bought it from. Back when I was in grade school, Someone removed the 223 cu-in 6 and installed a 239 V-8. My plan is to do a complete restoration and before reassembly I'll install completely rebuilt, ported and balanced 292, rebuilt E4OD and 2 speed 5.83/8.11:1)rear axle(it's 6.80:1 now!!). I also have a newer Reading flat bed with a 2000lb Waltco lift gate for it. The interior will get a newer split bench type seat and an after market heating/AC unit, extensive insulation and interior trim. If I can add heavy duty power steering it'll get that too. More to come!
