Hey Tom, feel free to email me directly at - we can discuss my flathead. (I tried to reply to the message you send me but it wouldn't go through for some reason...)

Hi Tom, I see you are from Alberta too, what town? I live in Stony Plain building a 55 F100. Nice job on your truck.

Wow. If my chassis looked like that I'd hang it on the wall. Those are excellent pics and sure get me thinking about modifying my exhaust. Mine come out straight like that with the mufflers right in front of the diff and then going into turn downs. I think I could have some pieces bent up to go over the axle and down the frame.
It really helps to see those pics, thanks tons for the link!

Thanks for your kind words. It is a booster from Explorer; can't remember if 9" or not, the hanging pedal required some length mods ; based on the height of the booster.

The guages look good; now need to get them working properly. Currently am matching senders to them, scaling issue where the temp and pressure go off scale. The press sender needs changing , have it but have not installed. The coolant temp gauge goes off scale, need to tweek the range with resistor I think.

OMG! I have been looking through your pics! great job! I am guessing that your vac boost/master cyl is from an explorer also? I have been eyeing one at the salvage yard! And I love the guages! You are a great reference for my project, I hope you don't mind but I will be visiting your profile and pics alot! Super cool! The fuel inj conversion looks like a nightmare! but i'm still gonna do it. take care and thanks!

I picked them up at a local after market provider, who gets most of their stuff from Dennis Carpenter. The bed sides cost $ 150.00 to get broke.
The time consumming part is the welding top rail to sides; need to go slow to prevent warping, but I'm happy with overall result; and low cost. I also bought the tailgate aftermarket, but the overall cost was around $800.00 ?
I have more answers if you have questions.

I was looking at your bed project. Did you buy reproduction stake pockets and if so, where did you get them? I am new to the site, new to the '49, but not new to these money consuming projects! thanks in advance! Jeff
