    I'm not as familiar with the Sony units, but you probably have another amp under the dash for the door speakers. I bypassed all my factory wiring and rewired the truck off the Lockpick harness to the new amp/speakers. My factory head unit works the same as it did when new.

    I have a 2014 super duty with the factory nav Sony system however my amp is in the back on the sub. Trying to do away with the factory amp, but have some wire inputs that seem to affect the sync. Any ideas how to bypass the entire amp and still have nav and sync functionality?

    I left the amp for the door speakers in place, but the amp for the sub (which was attached to the box) was removed. I ran all new wires from the lockpick to the rest of the truck so nothing is really going to the factory amp, it's unplugged.

    Hi There,
    Been doing my research and so far, your info has been most valuable so I figured I'd reach out and ask. Doing an audio upgrade myself. Already put in the lockpick so was originally going to tap off that like you did. Question: did you keep the original amp plugged in since other wires run to it? If not, did it throw any codes/errors? Did you look at tapping into the harness (by adapter) where it plugs into the amp? or after it? I'm working on a '13 250 with the Sony upgraded *cough cough* system. Factory amp was attached to the sub behind the seat. Thinking since that is where my new amps/sub are it would be nice to put the LQi7 back there too and not run so many wires up front. I'm running all new to the speakers too. Wishful thinking but figured you had the insight.

    2.5" in the front only (leveling kit).

    I wouldn't go any higher, been down that road with my 2000 (had a 6.5" lift and 37" tires).

    Was your lift the 2.5 front and 2 rear? Do you like it if you had the chance would you of gone bigger?

    I didn't cut it, you can actually see parts of it hanging down in some of the pics that I had posted. You wouldn't really notice it unless you were looking for it.

    Just a quick question.When you put your 2wd valance on did you cut the crash bumpers that hang below the frame horns. I think that why the 4wd have the tall valence to hide those things! thanks! Al

    It enables dvd in motion, nav input in motion, and ability to turn on the rear camera whenever you want (in Park, D, at any speed, etc). It comes with a wiring harness that plugs into your factory harness. I tapped into the lockpick harness in lieu of hacking up the factory harness.
