I can't help you with the shift points, I run a manual tranny. i do know from talking with Bill, that he definitely understands these trucks. He is a ASE master certified tech including transmissions. As to other chips/tuners. I ran a Bully Dog 6 pos. chip in my 97 1 ton, and I had a DP tuner F5 in my 02 before the PHP. With the PHP my EGTs are lower, the truck pulls smoother, and has way more usable power and my mileage increased 1.5-3 mpg over the DP. I would call Bill when he gets back from SEMA and visit with him. He will call you back I promise. He won't sell you what you don't need, he actually talked me out of a tune I thought I needed because, as he put it, "its a waste of your money". I have stock, 25tow, 40 tow, 60tow, 80 hp and no start. quite honestly I use 60 tow almost constantly when we're towing,80 when running empty. Call Bill, you will be very pleased. Barney
