Mine had about 90K on it when I purchased it. Rattled like crazy when you started it up, and had no power at all. I removed the engine and had it rebuilt. Bored, new pistons, cam, lifters, and it needed one new cylinder head. About a year later I was losing water. Had to replace the other head. A year later losing water again. Talked to the machine shop, and they said there is a problem with the 2.9 heads. Purchased some supposedly beefed up heads, both sides. That was a couple of years ago now. I just am not impressed with the 2.9 motor. Take a look at the location of the distributor. Not only is it in the back, but it is covered up by the plenum. Just my 2 cents. Cheers

I have the mechanic hands can fix just about anything, but i need to be pointed in the right direction, the 2.9 in my bII atm is only at 188k id like it to last a little bit longer for another project. hit me back
