Thanks, I've posted pictures here before, can't understand what the problem is, anyway I'll send it to your email, I'm gonna call it a night, talk at you later........
yea thats what i have noticed i found a company out in washington that sells a dressed longblock with carb and dynoed for around 3400$. to post pictures you can go make an account at photobucket.com and upload them the go to the album and click the url and past it into the message and the picture should show up . you could email me @ dorf4201@aol.com. ill take a look at a website where i order paint from to see the original paint code .
Its the original color I want, sea breeze or sea foam green I think, wish I could post a picture, when I pulled the windshield the original color was still there, I'll try to post a picture to your thread, the 351C was the motor to have back in the day, with the 4V heads, made gobbs of horsepower, the windsor is a good motor, can do a lot with em nowadays
sounds good . i am not a painter by trade and have never worked in a body shop. i am an estimator at a excavation company. and i was looking to put a 351 windsor in my truck backed with a t5. im not to familiar with older engines but i have learned that im leaning more toward a roller 351W. anyway the paint booth i built is still in pieces outside that garage i use. One way to get it done is paint it piece by piece that way it would be easily transported .What kind of paint/color are you looking to go with ?
Sounds good, looking for someone interested in makin trade for stuff I have, 351C/C4 2V and 4V heads, early Ford truck parts. Saw that you were close by,did paint work, thought maybe we could make trade. I have friends that have pretty much every thing I need cept they don't want what I have, I have access to trailer, have little Dodge truck for towing. I'll get it done one way or the other, 351C takin up space in garage, may have to do what you did, make little spray booth.
sounds familiar i have a friend who lives in bowling green hopefully i spelled that right . he is in his early sixties and used to paint. hes my to go to guy for information he pretty much taught me how to work on cars when i was a teen with my first car. But he is a electrician and works @ ft belvoir. Maybe next time i take a trip to see him ill stop by your way on the way down . So were you looking to use a garage to paint or have someone paint for you ? also do you have your own truck and trailer? Like i said im always willing to help maybe when you get your bed and fenders together i could shoot a coat of paint on the fenders for you and see what we think and what i can do to help you get that truck back up and going.
well culpeper is a little ways from spotsy. i dont know about stopping by this weekend but maybe sometime. by the way my name is matt. to clarify a little more about the painting. I dont live at the place where the garage is anymore. the farm belongs to a friend of mine and he is willing to let me use it whenever i need to . i used to use it to work on cars all the time but havent since i got married and bought a house with my wife. But like i said im always willing to help other people and learn more about these old trucks. The garage has its own electric and compressor. it doesnt however have a great air dryer for painting. i added a couple of catch filters to it when i used to paint but thats about as good as i got it. anyway how far are you from painting?
Hey i just posted on my thread about your question. I wouldnt consider myself a great painter but am always up to help someone with some esp if it is something with these old trucks. When you get closer to paint let me know and we maybe be able to work something out. I dont have to much welding knowledge or knowledge on carbs so it would always be a plus to make a friend or two locally who has more knowledge than i do .
