. I bought this truck from my brothers friend and have never owned a diesel before. I got this truck because it is bigger than my last truck and a good deal. I really want to get somewhat decent gas mileage and that's why I'm trying to get rid of the superchip and put something else in there. My mechanic says that the "economy" setting is just like the "tow" setting and that when the rpms are higher then you'll be using less fuel. This is strange to me but what have you experienced? I am very hesitant on rushing into getting a $300 product without certainty that it'll do what I want. I just don't have that kind of money right now and need to make sure whatever product I get will give me better gas mileage. Any ideas?
