Hey I have read and seen a lot of your posts. I have a question about a particular one. I have had several 7.3L's over the years I just bought a 97 cc.. When I first drove it away, about a mile down the road I started seeing a lot of excess blackish opaque smoke when I stepped on it, and it felt like I wasn't getting boost (no boost gauge and truck is all stock, one owner 155k miles). parked it that night and the next day no smoke at all, not even stomping on it, and it has totally doggish power, never a sound from the turbo, and barely holding hills. You had a post that mentioned no power and no smoke was electrical problem. I have a feeling this truck sat quite a bit in recent years. thinking of the extra smoke low, then the no smoke no power, transition do you have any idea where I should look first?

Hello! I noticed you have the DNX7100 in your 2002? I have a 2002 as well and ended up with the same gps/nav head unit from my brother when he sold his truck, Kenwood DNX7100!! I was going to install it this weekend but ran into a couple problems. I know that I have to cut/grind both the top and bottom, what kit did you use to install it, holds it in? Where did you put the gps antenna? Use a wiring kit? I just got quoted $400 by a box store to install it into my truck.

I have installed a couple stereos before but for some reason I have been running into tons of problems with this one, dont know why. Care to help a fellow Colorado resident out?

    Thanks,
    oz

Would you mind chiming in here http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/10...ons-again.html and offering the guy some local advice? Sounds like the inspection shops are giving him trouble because they don't know what they are doing.
