    Hi, I know it was a while ago, but I had the same problem as you with the door ajar light. So if you haven't solved it yet hopefully this may help...Having found the thread on these forums I found the GEM, cut the 'right door switch input' cable, and problem solved. Dome light won't work for passenger door but that doesn't bother me. Works fine for drivers door. Hope that helps.
