    Hey Steve,
    Thanks a lot, we appreciate that, sorry we didn't get back to you we've been busy getting her ready for the swap. We finally found the IRS and we just got it home last weekend. We got it out of a '96 T-bird. What a unit! Were down to the frame and getting ready to install and do the welding on the front end. All the reading we've done on the front end, its our understanding the only thing that matters is that it is level and in square. Is this how you feel about it? We are working on a 1957 f100 shortbed, for my 15 year old daughter, we are restoring it together from top to bottom, but I cant wait to drive it myself. Thank you so much and sorry we didn't get back to you sooner.

    we've been reading the things that you posted about the IFS and IRS to fast58 a few years ago, you made so much sense and you've shed light on many things for our upcoming build. is it ok if we chime in and ask some questions on the IFS. your article in "truckin" magazine about the IRS swap leaves a guy with no questions but i may have a few on the IFS swap.

    Hello. Hey I've been searching all over the internet to see what fabbed motor mounts for a 460 on a CV front end might look like. I don't suppose you have a couple pics of your mounts? Also, I'm assuming you had to use a rear sump oil pan?? Thanks in advance. Joe. (PS. Working a 63 F100 Uni.)

    I'm using a 429cj so it has a good set of heads. When doing the cv swap are the steps mark the hub centers, cut out the cross member, set the cv cross member up on the frame drill the 4 holes, then I'm guessing you can just push the sway bar up and drill those holes, but I don't know how to mount the trailing arms. If I could also get some pics of the steering shaft that would be helpful.

    I'm sure you've been asked many times and there's lots of threads about the cv swap but you seemed to know a lot about it when helping fast58. So I was wondering if you could send me some pics, parts list, and the steps to do the cv swap. I have a 79 f100 custom it originally had a straight 6 with a 3 on the tree no ps or pb. I plan on putting a 429cj in it with a t10 backing it, lowering the back 3 inches and the front 4 inches (correct me if I'm wrong but I've heard the cv swap drops the front 5 inches so I would need 1 inch spacers). Also if you've got your 460 in I would appreciate pics and info on the motor mounts.

    Hey elgemcdlf, i have read over the Buildup CV IFS thread that fast58 did and saw that u put in a 460 and c6 in urs with the swap. i have a 59 and am doing the swap and have a 460/c6 combo and am having clearance issues, with the oil pan. just wondering how u made it work

    something about my location I fixed fixed it per request and still got banned lol oh well new name haha haven't got to my truck in awhile been busy with customer cars I've been neglecting although I should get to this weekend gotta figure out hoe to make my alt clear my valve cover
