    hello curless,
I agree with your assessment of the impact not being a good idea. Decarbonizing the engine then using the leverage buffer tube to break loose the spark plugs while introducing penetrating oil and carburetor cleaner into the tube around the spark plug works. you just have to work the plug back and forth so the penetrating oil and carburetor have a chance to dissolve any remaining carbon and always use a ratchet and never an impact. Impacts won't even fit into the area on the back cylinders on f150s. My truck had 150,000 miles on it when I removed the original plugs (Pzt2f) with out breaking any of them. aonrachtools.com

    Chris,

Thank you for the quick reply! After actually reading the entire thread, I realized that the fix was only for Expedition and Navigators. Thank You, again.

    Chris,

I was wondering if you still have gears available for 1997-2003 F-150 pedal adjustment?

    Thanks,
    Joel

Chris -- THANKS for the gear, for my '03 Expedition. Easy fix, solved the problem, and saved me hundreds for a repair that should last for the life of my vehicle. THANK YOU!

Just came across this thread and I'd love to get one of those gears from you to fix my pedal problem in my 04 Expedition. Hope you're still making them, or have some handy. Thanks.
