    Um, there is one spring inside. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to get the spring-clip out, then turn it over and dump the parts out. There should be a round plate with a hole in the center and a cup for the pushrod, then a flat disk about .020 thick, then a piston piece that takes up much of the inside of the lifter. *under* that piston, you have a (weak) spring. And that's it.

    That's kinda bizarre. The manufactures of the kits ship them all the time? Wonder what they do. I have shipped huge items before simply by weight. Oh well, guess I'll keep my eyes peeled for a local kit or prowl the junkyards to find one. Thanks for checking for me though.

    That's nuts. I've shipped transmissons, engine cradles, whole car interiors without paying that much. You must be a long way from NC. I'm going to have to pass, unfonately I can't really just spending over half the cost of the item just to ship it. Shame. Good luck selling it.

    Im sure they need a light touch on the face, If they are good I would run them. Mine are stainless so if any need replaced these are a better deal.
    I lap the valves after grinding FYI. So make sure the shop is doing a good job.
