    Hi, Just read one of your post. "look at your vacuum hoses under the hood. They get cracks or brittle from over the years. You can spray throttle body cleaner around them and find it fast. Also check the one way valve for leaks. One side is black the other is white or clear."

    How does the throttle body cleaner find the leak? Does it bubble?

    Hi,
    I've been searching the threads for help and ran across the one where you mentioned your experience rebuilding alternators. I've got a 3G unit with bad slip-rings(very,very bad). How do you get them off? There doesn't appear to be anywhere to set a puller or position a bearing separator to press them off. Also, is there a trick to removing the center section with the field coils and diode mounting plate? Mine can be pryed about a1/8" and stops. I don't want to force and break anything. I hope you don't mind me contacting you this way but I'm getting desperate.
