    brad2388,

My power window quitting was related to the GEM module problem I was having. The windshield was leaking across the bottom of the firewall and down on the gem module. The dealership replaced the gem module (at my expense) and attempted to put a patch on by putting a plastic shield over the gem module. Long story but after a long raining weekend the gem module finally shorted out nearly catching my f150 on fire...it did burn up the starter. Once the truck was repaired by insurance company including resealing the windshield (very common problem with F150's) all of the mysterious things quit happening... radio turning itself on after a rain... door locks and power windows not working.

I will evenually need to replace the passenger power window because it is getting very slow in going down... up works fine.

    Hope this helps, hugger94

Hello hugger94, I stumbled upon a post about how you were giving advice to someone who was replacing their power windows motor. You talked about how your window quit working but only made a clicking sound. I actually have the exact same problem with my 97 as well. I was wondering if you could please tell me how you resolved your problem. I hope you are enjoying your Kansas summer. Thanks, Brad Lewis
