    Nice, my 85 wasn't a woody, but it was a Mark Cross model. It had an unfortunate run-in with a distant cousin, a Mercedes ML320.

    I am following Mathew's '86 FE build and just noticed your '86 with a 460. I have a 460 in my '85. It has the fishing weight, Autolite carb on it. I am swapping it for an Edelbrock Performer (#1406) today, but I see you have EFI.

    How does the older engine handle the EFI?

    Did you have to use the newer (EFI) heads?

    Right now, I think my truck is getting about 5 MPG with the Autolite. I am hoping to get at least 10 MPG and hopefully 12 MPG with the Edelbrock.

    How does yours do with the EFI?

    I had an '86 F250 Super Cab with a 460, Holley 650 DP, 4.10 gears in a Sterling rear end. As long as you kept it at or below 3,000 RPM (about 55 MPH) it got about 12 MPG.

    My truck has a Dana 60 with 3.54 gears. So at 65 MPH, I am below 3,000 RPM.

    Understand that it is all 'on the spectrum' so there is a wide range of challenges and behavior.

    I'm sorry if I "just don't get it" sometimes.
    Having Asperger's can suck.
    Because it's hard to stay cognizant of the fact that our perception of the world and especially semantics or implications are so different.
    I didn't mean to be disrespectful and hope I didn't come off that way.
