    Hey would you be able to tell me how much of the old steering column they left coming out of you steering box into the rag joint? Also the chevy column the put in what was the length? Yhank you

    hey, thanks for getting back to me. I found a pretty nice steering wheel, so i'm good. i've seen pretty cracked wheels out there. the one i got is perfect. pretty amazing when they last that long.

    Anyway, I looked at the old steering wheel and it's cracked around the base. Bad enough you wouldn't be happy with it and I wouldn't feel right selling it.

    Hi Scott,

    Thanks for the offer, but I just bought one. I have an automatic transmission, so i was looking for an automatic shifter on the column. that turned out to be impossible to find, so i'm going with a column with no shifter, and moving my shifter to the floor. Should be interesting.

    Hi svolpone, I saw your post about a needing a steering column for a 65 F100. I've got a rangoon red column, three on the tree complete with the wheel if you are interested. Over a year ago, I swapped mine out for a tilt column out of the 78 along with installing power steering. As I remember, its in decent shape. I could take some pics if you are interested.
