Hey, I actually just started a thread looking for information on the grille guard on your truck. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/11...l#post11306350

Do you know what brand it is, or where I can get one?

I found an old post of yours:
    http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/21...-79-frame.html

You mentioned there was a level of interchange of F600 cabs and F150-250-350 cabs.
From what I have read on other threads, the medium duty trucks have a flatter floorboard, making it hard to source floormats that fit. Some have gone so far as to cut a LT hump out of a junker and install it in a F600 to allow LT floormats to fit.

I have also read of the isolators being different.

My intent is to take a short (129") wb F600 and install a dually bed. I know it's all doable, and donor cabs are just a CraigsList away, if a pickup cab will fit.

From what you say, and from what others say, the interchange is easily a pickup cab on a F600, but not so easy the other way.

And the front clip can go either way, from what I have read.

I have no idea about linkages for manual or automatic, but my hopeful guess is "no problem"

Hi there, Canadian from Sudbury. It seems we have similar interests. I am planning a 24v cummins swap into a mint 1981 ford. My only problem is the ford is a f150 2wd. I am planning to get a f250 or f350 frame sand blast and paint it so I can get started. I was reading some of your post and it seems that you no quite a bit about these ford trucks. the doner dodge is a 2001 3500 ram 4x4. I plan on using the cummins,4500 tranny and 4x4. maybe the axles. I would be really interested in your thoughts. my email is ironhorseinc@inbox.com and my names Andrew
