    I'd swap the trans while you got it all apart.

    I finally came across your post showing your exhaust set up, and its exactly what I want to do. If you have the time a have a question please: (will swap my 302 for 351) right now I have the Mazda 5sp which is in great shape, but when the 351 swap eats it up I'll swap for the HD 5sp out of F250, which is roughly 5" shorter than the Mazda. Can I rout the exhaust to accommodate both or should I just swap the tranny while the engines out in order to do the exhaust once? Thanks!

    Hello Conanski, i've talk with a Comp Cam's guy and he tell me that I can buy just the springs (942-16) and use it with stock retainers and locks, but I have to be sure of the measures, he was not sure if the fit for that springs. What do you know about? the stock retainers and locks (gt40 heads) fit with 942-16 comp cams valve springs? or the measures don't let it? Thanks again

    Yes that cam would work too. Stock pushrods are all you need for both rocker ratios,

    It would give .496 max lift. What do you think about this one?? And what is the pushrods Lenght for 1.7 roller tip rockers?? I will buy comp cams push rods. Thanks

    Firing order won't make any real difference just make sure the plugs are wired to match.

    Thanks I have all clear in my mind now!! I see you recommend me 351 and 302 cams! 351 firing order is better??? new boss 302engine goes back to 1-5...
