yeah, for now check the nitrites and let that be your guide. In the tech folder there should be a coolant maintenance tips document. If not let me know.

At the 100K mile mark your coolant needs replaced if not done sooner. The chemicals and such get depleted. You should at least be checking your nitrites. If those fall below 300ppm. then replacement is needed.

If you need to do it then I would recommend shopping around and see what you can get price wise. Or do it yourself. Dump it. Put in distilled water, drive it around a bit, then dump and put in new coolant.
Bottom line is unless you are at 100K or the nitrites are low then nothing to do right now.

Sorry for the slow response, been traveling. This sounds to me like you need to look at the connection at the rear of the truck. Maybe water or a loose wire.

most tuners allow you to do the tune then remove the device that you used. In the re-programming you access the pcm and re-program it. That is why you can remove your device.

As far as egr/removal and block off plates. The tuner has to be capable of disabling the EGR then you can remove or do the block off, your choice. If it were mine I would do the total removal.

Now back to that tuner issue. Any time you run a tuner you had better be monitoring your vitals. So if he is removing the device, how is he monitoring EGT's etc? Better get that ironed out if he knows what is best.

Hope that helps...and oh btw..don't believe the massive mpgs gains..figure 10-20% Better fuel ecomony at best.

if you have hydro then no booster for the master cylinder. Just fluid lines.

I used mercon atf. Same as the tranny.

Good to hear from you. The Zerex is fine..has the ford spec on the bottle. I would just fill the fluid for the power steering. Uses the ford stuff..not some stuff at Wal-Mart. Not sure if you have hydro-boost or not so check.

Yes I do miss the 6.4. It was quicker off the line and the trans/tow/haul was much better.

I do like the 6.7 though. I needed the dually for the better ride for the wife's back.

just something to see if the drain is clogged. Short of taking off that cover. Every once in awhile there might be some gunk buildup due to bad fuel.
FYI on the diesel kleen. There are a few choices out there. Silver for the summer and gray for the winter.

STAY AWAY from diesel 911...has alchohol and will ruin your HPFP.

You can try something like a pipe cleaner up the yellow handle and see if that clears it up.

sounds like you may have gotten some bad fuel in there somewhere.

I have used diesel Kleen power service in the silver bottle on occasion. You could try that. It has a cetanie and fuel injector cleaner as well.

Yes and it ran very well. Enjoyed the heck out of it and I miss it has only been a week.
We needed to go to a dually since the wifes back was starting to really get to her on the cross country treks we do. Hoping for a bit smoother ride is all.

I still have the banks ram air if you are interested..obviously it is not new.

Good Morning!! Intakes...Well having been someone who had one they are not really needed for stock tuning and really still not needed for lower HP tunes.
You have to be careful that you get one that fits well and seals properly or you can dust your turbos. I had the banks ram air on mine. Since it was CARB certified I never took it off and had no problems with any warranty work.
I just traded my truck for a dually (2013) but still have all my banks stuff at this time. If you want to buy my ram air..make an offer.
Even stock it can still be good as you can clean it and re-use.
