Hello, Have a question about oil pressure gauge 1990 F 150 5.0 replaced the sending unit with one from Auto Zone seems to work fine unill i step the brake and come to a stop and then the needle it starts shaking and heads to low sometimes even activating the engine light, I read somewhere from a claimed ASE certified Mech that this could be a faulty alternator or wiring, The charging gauge did start reading low the other day but hasn't did it again, Voltage is around the low 14 volt area, Any input would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Terry

recently bought 87 f250. Manual doors changed out by previously and now w/ power controls. The windows were hooked up, but the wires cut from the harness at the. Door locks never hooked up and I want to try to make them work.

I started w/ passenger side. I see 5 wires from the door lock control panel, and 7 wires into the harness from the door. Black (power), Black/orange (unlock?), pink/green (Lock?), 2x pink/orange, 2x pink/black.

I cut the black wire from the harness and hooked it up to power, but I could not get voltage across the switch. But I assumed since the window works, the panel should be grounded???

If I give the door lock black wire power, should the lock switch work? What do I need to do to make it work?
Why are there 22 wires of pink/orange and pink/black at the harness; what do those wires do?

And if I "create my own harness", which wires from the driver side do I connect to the passenger harness?

    Thanks

I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT A 88 F-150 THAT I HOPE YOU CAN ANSEWER FOR ME.
THERE IS NO VOLTAGE AT THE #1 FUSE (BRAKE/HAZARD/SPEED CONTROL). ALL OTHER LIGHTS WORK. OWNERS MANUAL SAYS THERE IS A FUSE LINK AT THE STARTER RELAY FOUND THREE NOT SURE WHICH ONE BUT ALL SEEM IN TACK. TRYING TO TRACK DOWN THE HAZARD FLASHER, MANUAL SAYS IT IS BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX. ONLY THING I CAN FIND IS A THREE PRONG RELAY IS THAT IT?
THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD A JUMPER RUNNING FROM THE #8 FUSE TO WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE THE CRUISE CONTROL BRAKE SENSOR ( JAMMED INTO ONE OF THE EXPOSSED BLADES OF 2 LIGHT GREEN WIRES ABOVE THE BRAKE PEDAL, NOT THE BRAKE SWITCH ITSELF) TRIED TO REHOOK RIG THE BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON BRIGHT BUT BLOWS THE FUSE.
MY QUESTION IS COULD A BAD HAZARD FLASHER EFFECT THE BRAKE LIGHTS OR SHOULD I TRY TO RUN A JUMPER FROM THE BATTERY TO THE #1 FUSE TO SEE IF I HAVE AN OPEN IN THE CIRCUIT TO SEE IF THAT WORKS (DONT WANT TO FRY ANYTHING)?

    THANKS
