    I appreciate your feedback.
    I am new here, but it sure looks like you're the 'Go-To' guy when it comes to Aviator matters.
    Prior to this Aviator, I had a '98 Explorer, and before that an '88 Bronco II.

    Do you suppose that, as a relatively quick performance tweak for my Aviator, a better Cold Air Intake would be beneficial?? I expect that it would and have done some research into THAT possibility. My problem is that, despite the 4.6L engine having been used in everything from Mustangs to Expeditions, there don't seem to be any kits on the market for the Explorer/Mountaineer/Aviator lines. If this is fitment-related, as I suspect, then perhaps a kit for one of the other 4.6L applications could be altered to fit? No doubt this would void the warranty but, for improved performance, I'd take that risk in a heartbeat. I'd love to hear what you think of this?

    Now I'm going to go investigate this "Cylinder De-Carb" you recommended...

    This is my first day on the FTE site, and there appear to be some hurdles to clear prior to becoming a full-fledged member (?). At any rate, I am the proud owner of a 2003 Aviator. At approx. 90000 miles currently, I've had two significant problems with her...Timing Chain Guide (damned plastic parts!) failure, and rear wheel bearings went bad (costly, but nothing like the Chain problem). Hopefully, she'll be good for a while now, LOL.
    At any rate, I'm wondering if there are any modest improvements to be made in Aviator performance?...Air Intake, or maybe Exhaust system alterations? And what about these Performance Chips...are they worth it??
    I love the truck and plan on keeping her forever, would like to pamper her a little in her 'Middle-Age'.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    I have enjoyed reading your post for years (since 2002). You have helped so many, including me - starting with my 1997 Mountaineer.
    I am writing as I have recently relocated to the QC area (yes, I am on the dark side of the Mississippi (Moline). Nevertheless, I just traded my 02 EB Explorer for the same version in an 06 model - with 118,000 fewer miles.
    Looking forward to staying in touch and up to date on the Forums.

    It seems like you are the go to guy. I am searching for the parking brake and reverse gear wires to tap into. I have a 2010 ford explorer XLT. I am adding a backup camera and a Parrot Asteroid smart. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the truck is down.
