    IB Tim,

    I have 8 posts and have been a member for 2 1/2 years. However, I cannot post an ad in the member marketplace. Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated. I'm trying to pass along a deal on a steering wheel I bought and no longer need. Thanks,

    James aka acd96b

    I'm having issues with some members, to the point that one is saying that he is to the point that he is thinking of giving up his position here in FTE because of me.

    I am new. Have a 65 Ford F100 4x4 and need help with VIN/Warranty Number.

    Here it is: F11DK592809.
    My thoughts:
    F11= 61-66, 4 Wheel Drive, F-100
    D= 1965, 352-V8, 2V-2 barrel carb, 208 hp, at 4400 rpm
    K= Kansas City-plant
    592809= assemble date Sept 1964

    What the rest of the plate means?
    W.B.120= Wheel Base 120 inches
    Color J= 65/66 Rangoon Red
    Model F112= 63-66, 4 Wheel Drive, 5600 G.V.W., F-100
    Body N81= No Idea - mine is Standard Cab
    Trans N= No Idea - mine is 4 speed Manual
    Axle 08= 3:50 rear axle ratio 1965
    Max G.V.W. LBS. 5600= Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight 5600 pounds
    Cert. NET H.P. 172= 172 certified net horse power of 172 at 4000 rpm. Here I get confused as the 352 cid was suppose to be 208 hp at 4400 rpm
    Is it due to the carb size?
    R.P.M. 4000= revolutions per minute 4000 for testing horse power
    D.S.O. 421298= distinguished service order- No Idea how to break down this number.

    Thank you all in advance for any help given. Ford Guy 65 72 03

    Desperately seeking assistance - Safety recall 93S68

    This is an ancient problem which should have been taken care of by the previous owner. Its a fuel transfer problem, fuel can (is) pumped from one tank into the other and will continue pumping until fuel starts pouring out through the gas cap. I have been stopped by a Colorado state trooper and several individuals that I am loosing fuel as I'm driving down the road.

    I've had no luck with parts or service trying to get the kit that is mentioned in this link
    gas tank trouble - 80-96 Ford Truck Tech Support - Ford F Series Zone - F150 F250 F350 Super Duty Ranger Tech
    I am currently restoring the vehicle and would really like to get the necessary parts to fix this before I start driving it again.
    The VIN # is 1FTHX25GXMKA12070 - the article seems to indicate that the kit is very vehicle specific.

    Any help is greatly appreciated
