Gary, saw on a post you got new mirrors for your fathers truck rebuild. I just about completed my rebuild and don't want to re-install the old rusty mirrors. I have a three bolt patter on both top and bottom brackets, and have the swing out bar. I guess cause it's a camper special. Where can I get a new set? And are they available anywhere? Thanks, Bob

Very cool. I'm finding the thread informative, as I learn about these trucks.

Hey was reading your build thread. pages 1-10 or so then the last couple of pages. Was curious at around what page the build changed into full on or of its just a continuation throughout?

    Hey Gary!

Thanks for your response. We just got the JBL Concert Edition premium sound system upgrade installed into one of our demo trucks at Car Toys (we're a bunch of car audio crazies).

The sound system is vehicle specific by Harman/JBL so it will be a perfect fit for your wife's truck as long as it is 2015+.

I can get you more information on this and have one of our guys give you a call or email you. Let me know! Or you can email me at We're passionate to help.

It is a shame for for the trucks to reduce their sound quality due to weight constraints and fuel efficiency. We're just really glad JBL is helping the truck lovers out there bring it back.

Gary, thanks for the drawing of the ford front end.

Question, how can I tell what tool I need to remove the front wheel bearing nuts?

I have been reading and it seems there is one tool for all axles except the Dana 44 and another for the Dana 44.

I have the tag on the diff but it is barely readable. Will the door tag help or what do I look for on the tag or ?????

I don't know what the tool is for ... one say it is a socket the other says push to unlock???

    I truly appreciate the help.

    Thanks again ..... Mike

All of the trucks have the wiring to that connector, and then there's a harness that plugs into that and takes the other two wires up the B pillar. I have the harness, dome/map light, and cargo light.
