Ben can you give me some ideas on front disk. I was looking at speedways kit which looks really nice and not TOOOO expensive. I want a master cylinder that i can mount on the fire wall do you know what i can use? Going junk yarding in San Antonio hopefully next weekend for a 8.8 D4-limited slip rear. I have seen before to take everything springs and hand brake. Can i use the explorer leaf springs? could i possibly use the master cylinder from the explorer also? need all the advice i can get.

Hey Ben - thanks for getting back to me. I will definitely hit you up soon, as I get stumped often. Are you planning on going to the Roundup this year? Or do you ever make it down my way to Cars & Coffee on 2nd Sundays? Would love to see your truck and compare notes.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Hey Ben - after spending a million hours learning from you FTE geniuses, I figured I'd finally reach out and say hello to a fellow Austinite. I've got a '49 F1 that I've been working on since November and plan on taking to the Roundup in a few short weeks. Would love to pick your brain as I scramble to tie up loose ends. I live out in Steiner Ranch but travel all over for work. Let me know if we can catch up soon.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Ben, I recently moved from Georgetown, just North of Austin, to Washington State. I have a thread posted here regarding 8.8 leaf springs. It sounds like you used the 3" 8.8 springs on your F1 swap, what frame brackets did you use and how did you go about it? Sorry to ask here, but not sure you saw my thread. Thanks, Larry

Ben, my project is really starting to pick up and I'd like to see some other trucks in the area. Would you mind some time if i stopped by? I live south but work north off Riata/183 so I could be pretty flexible if that's ok with you?

    Thanks!

Ben, I love your truck! I'm about to fix my old 1950 F-1 up. Saw your posts concerning your color search. What is the name of the color you finally decided on? Ice blue? Thanks so much. -Mike

Its going well. Ive got it down to the frame and everything is media blasted. Putting on the Mustang II IFS right now and trying to decide if I leave in the old engine mounts and work around them or take them out.

Hey Ben..... did you have to remove the engine mount brackets in order to install your 351W?

Hey Ben, I'm also in Austin. I recently purchased a '56 and have decided, after much research, to perform the jag swap. I'd be interested in talking sometime as I don't have any local "car buddies" to chat and bounce ideas off. I'm in SW Austin, what area of town are you?
