    Greetings! Stumbled into your very impressive Sept. 2014 post "Ford Truck Information and Then Some..." and nearly wet myself... thanks for the info!! Searched on the post regarding "steering conversions" and didn't get a hit. Have you any experience with the Benchworks system (Benchwork Steering Systems) for converting Highboys? There's lots of ways to get there, but this is the cleanest install we've seen. Seems all a fella really needs is to get his hands on is a drawing of that adapter plate... or start from scratch. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    I appreciate all your help good sir. I am questioning the other two posts suggesting that the spindle bearing is the problem, seems like a bad bearing would lead to radial play not axial. I will look into the snap ring you mentioned. Thanks again.

    I recently baught a shop manual for my 78 f150 custom. However, it is NO WHERE near as detailed as some of the diagrams you posted. I was hoping if could email your entire book. I am wanting to keep my truck as stock as possible, and I beleive the pdf files you have could help me immensly. if you choose to help, just let me know and ill send you my personal email.     Hello Mr. 77&79F250. Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the directions to billavista. Unbelievable resource there! I've spent the last several hours sifting through some of Mr. Ansell's tech articles. Really starting to figure out what is underneath my truck and the direction I'm going to take my drivetrain in.
