I was interested in the overdrive installation on a 53 F100 in the simplest form possible. It has a 6 cylinder. Thanks!

I'm wondering if you remember the daimeter of the input shaft on your T85 that you made a longer pilot bushing for. Mine is 1 1/8"+- and 6 3/8" long. The trans from this truck is 1 3/8" dia. X7" long.

Have a F1 with a firewall plate with the number 98 C 284650 SR. Would like to find out any information that would help me restore to original. I think it is a 1948 or 1949 based on the chrome grill ? Any help apprecieated.

Thanks for the info on the overdrive. My truck has the floor shifted 4 speed, and you are correct,it has 5.14 gears. Do you think it is worth the effort to install an aux trans? Keep the timken rear? I have a line on a 4.10 dana from an IH,it has the correct bolt pattern but not sure on where my wheels would end up as I have bud wheels and it looks like the factory used a spacer to get them centred. My email brianwmathe@gmail.com Thanks for any help on this!

Hi, I am interested in some information regarding an overdrive for my 53 F350. I had read a post where you mentioned you had a fairly easy way to do the swap. I am wanting to keep with period or original stuff, but planning a cross country trip and need some better gearing for the highway.

    Thanks kindly for any help

I saw your comments about putting a 8ba into a 46 truck. I have a question. I am putting a 1952 8ba into a 41 truck. I have the tranny that came with it. I found the correct water pumps that use the right motor mounts. How does the tranny mount to the frame of the truck. The only bolt holes are located on the front of the bell housing. They dont line up with the crossmember under the truck. Any thoughts, Bob
