I have a 05 4x2 CC Lariat. I have 124k on it and run it stock. I’m anal about the maintenance and such and do all of the PM myself. I recently installed a ScanGaugeII and my ECT/EOT deltas are over the 15 degree mark. I'm getting ready to order a new oil cooler and really would like some advice on whether to delete/not delete the EGR cooler. I live in the Deep South (Mississippi) and don't have to worry about emissions testing. I'm not an engine mechanic, but I am a pretty fair "wrench-turner" so I am planning to do the work myself. I haven't done any 'serious' mods other than installing a PMM coolant filtration system, Blue Spring mod, Futomo drain valves on the block, HFCM WIF drain valve, and High-Idle mod. Oil is Rotella T6, coolant is Caterpillar ELC (red). This is my first diesel and I love it. We go everywhere is this truck. And, I love reaching for that green handle when we stop for fuel! Any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated.
