Hi! Just came across your "E Van Door Panel Removal" post. Nice job. I'm not in need of that info now, but one never knows what happens "down the road".

Onward to my reason for contacting you. I'm a long time viewer and just recently purchased a '97 E-350. I've noticed some vans, like yours, that have a small storage bin attached to the lower door section. A few questions I'm hoping you can answer:

    - Can you tell me if that storage bin is detachable or is it a composite part of the door?

    - If it's detachable, any idea where I might pick one up, driver's side only? (I'm hoping to be able to modify it to fit my door. That foot well space is just screaming for some usage.)

Thanks for your time. Take care.

There is no light without a dark side.
I think I'm pretty honest with myself, and about myself.

Those who try to rationalize mental illness or play the blame game just don't understand a thing about it.
They aren't being honest with themselves or anyone around them.

    Thanks again for your post!

JWA, I have a question about adding a steering stabilizer to my 2012 E-350. I've got the Monroe stabilizer tube, and was about to order the Ford brackets and parts (per the Steering Wheel thread that I found here)... but my mechanic says there's no "flat spot" or mounting slots or anything on the drag link to keep the end of the stabilizer tube from sliding (over time). He refuses to install the system. Do I need to replace my drag link with one that has these demarcations? The post doesn't reference this problem, but knowing what I know about physics, it's sure to slide eventually -- and could be quite deadly.
