Description:
Started out with a 3.8 v6 from the show room floor. My grandfather bought it with out any options. His philosophy was: if it was an add on option, he did not want it. Luckily the heater came as standard equipment. It does have the heavy duty power train that is found behind the I6's and V8's. It has the 9 inch, 2.75/1 open rear end. The 3.8 gave out in 2002 with around 109,000 miles on it (actual miles). After that I began the 302 conversion, which has taken the past 7 years to get it in running condition. It has been more of a part time hobby than needing to get it going til now. This good ole truck spent most of it's life idling around the farm. Then it was passed down to me when I turned 18 and have had it ever since.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Self rebuilt 302 upgrade with Holley 600cfm carb, Weiand Stealth intake, mild cam, 40,000 volt coil top HEI distributor, BBK headers with 32 inch long glass packs and 2.5 inch diameter true dual exhaust exiting outward below the cab. transmission is the factory equipped C5 that has a fresh professional rebuild and a TCI shift improver kit.

Future Modifications:
332 stroker kit, larger capacity radiator with electric fan, installation of a/c unit, finish out the dual exhaust straight out the back with 18 inch or 24 inch long by 4 inch diameter echo chambers, power window and lock kit, sliding back glass, medium tint to windows, custom paint job inside and out, on the look out for the XLS trim package to upgrade to the aluminum gauge surround and heater/stereo surround. slight 2.5 inch lift kit with air helper springs in the rear. Rear fuel tank conversion. Possible 4x4 conversion still undecided on that. Limited slip install in rear end. May install a sunroof but not sure if I really want it done, too many leaking roof stories keeping me from it. Black projectile headlights, Black JDM Altezza Tail lights. All marker, tail light and interior LED light conversions.
