Description:

1978 ford ranger explorer f-150 4wd with 300-6 4-speed NP205. Dana 44 front, 9 inch rear/3:55.

Dad bought the truck in 1980 from original owner. Truck was MINT at that time. The truck was 2wd as purchased new. My dad then drove it for 17 years in the twin cities for road construction. The truck spent most of it's life beyond overloaded. After that, he trapped with it for a few years in the fall before the snow got to deep. He then handed it to my oldest brother who handed it to my older brother who died in 1992. That's where I come in. I drove it from 1992 till 2000. During that time Me and my brother put the body on a 4wd frame. I left for school in 2001 and the truck mostly sat till last fall. I drove it a few times and finally set out to do what I had planned for over ten years. Frame off resto. Currently I am awaiting the frame to return from powder coating. Pretty much everything will be new, (USA parts as much as possible).
