When I found my '56 it was only 2 miles from our house! The previous owner had it for 32 years!
The only mods he finished were installing fiberglass front fenders and a 1970 2-bbl-302 truck motor backed by a C4 transmission. Otherwise this Effie is
100% STOCK!
Included with the sale was another C4 transmission,
another set of original steel rear fenders with the driver-side spare tire cut-out, AND...the bed-side side spare tire mount!
Well...we did let the dude drive it one last time over to our house...at least we got to follow my new '56 to see if the lights worked and how well it tracked...
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Drove it home with a 2-bbl 302 truck motor and C4

We both agree...it should look factory, period, original with just a few of our own subtle twists to REALLY make ya look...
Future Modifications:
To drive off in to the sunset with my Girl (and dog) kickin' some import, tuner-punk A$$...
