Description:

The is a 1951 Ford F1 Pick-up. I am trying to upgrade critical systems such as electical, and drive train, but maintain the stock outward appearance. I have also added a lot of "dress-up" features to make the truck "dressed up" for the Sunday drive

Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:

Installed newly rebuilt Ford 390 FE Police Interceptor engine with mild cam, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, MSD Drop and drive electronic distributor, Edelbrock 750 cfm carb, Carter X-type fuel pump, and lots of good chrome. Transmission is stock C6 and rear end is a 65 Big Ford 9 3/8 rear end geared at 2.80.

Suspension Modifications:

None - I'm using the stock suspension. However the rear leaf springs are off a 51 Panel as they have one less leaf than the stock truck springs,

Wheels/Tires Modifications:

Wheels are 15" chrome smoothies and 15 inch Eagle GT Radials

Interior/Exterior Modifications:

Modifications to the interior include 56 bezels, a 51 wind up Ford car clock (mounted in the ash tray) a Magic Air heater, bed wood stereo deck mounted above the windshield, and all the refurbished chrom for the Extra Cab. Exterior includes a full front tilt, Fulton Deluxe Sun Visor, Bed side spare tire carrier with Continental Kit and fender indent cover plate, Modified cowl with 49 Studebaker fender vent installed to provide outside air to the majic air heater (duct was removed when full tilt was built) Have 3,5 and 7 Bullet Front grills that are built for 5 minute change out. Front and back bumpers are chromed. Have added a 46/47 Ford Hood Ornament. Restored 1951 California YOM Commercial License Plates.

Future Modifications:

I'm planning on adding a US gear 20% reduction overdrive, mahogany bed with canarywood inlays, and paint with 1953 Olds "Royal Marine Blue." Grille, drip rail, stake pockets and tailgate "Ford" script in white.
